My Son says he feels that he is treated like a Gentleman - Traditional Parent

Teachers are kind and helpful and check over our work (especially in science fair). There are less students so the teacher can take care of us. We get to use the computers during school time. Activities take place in the gym at lunch hour. There are many tests and it helps us. The building is big and the classrooms are the same size with less students. There are more books here. There are lots of events. We get to 'grow salmon' . - Traditional Student, Age 11 from Korea

We feel the principal and staff have made a very smooth transition in the reconfiguration this year (moving from a K-7 to a K-5 school). We are excited about the relationship we have with the teachers and principal and we feel the lines of communication are open and clear.

We are so privileged to have our children at a traditional school. They are getting a foundation to build on for the rest of their lives, learning respect and behaviour patterns they will always use. - Traditional Parent

One of the things I still notice when I come into the school is the orderly way in which the teachers and administration maintain the building and classrooms, I appreciate the pleasant manner of everyone at the school and the politeness and respect that the children show! - Traditional Parent

Imposed and self-discipline are strongly emphasized in the traditional program, together with respect and courtesy to others and yourself. This, together with the dress code, gives a strong sense of unity (as opposed to uniformity -i.e. everyone being the same.) What a great way to learn how to get along and work with others, now and in the future! - Traditional Parent

King Traditional has given our children a strong educational base in a friendly, enthusiastic but disciplined atmosphere. The similarity of values between home and school is incredible. We trust the staff at King to make sound moral choices for our children while they are at school. - Traditional Parent

The traditional model has provided our children with a solid foundation for their educational success. The consistent, structured environment and high expectations have prepared them well for the future. The emphasis on mastery of basic skills and good work habits will be of great benefit in high school and beyond. They are definitely being prepared to be life-long learners. The respect for others, courtesy and citizenship and community involvement have ensured that they will be well-rounded, successful and productive members of society.

After much prayer and thought, we have come to believe with all our being that the sacrifices we have made to put our children in King will pale in comparison to the wonderful fruits we know this will bear in their future lives- thanks to the dedication and consistent expectations of the entire King staff and community.

South Poplar received its first 3 international students in February of 2003. Our international students enjoyed our small school and quickly became very important members of the South Poplar School community. We currently have two international students and we are looking forward to receiving more international students...

As my two older children entered high school, they were very grateful for the strong academic skills gained here at King Traditional. - Traditional Parent

We were so happy when we heard from school authorities that our child got admission to your school. We have no words to express our happiness! It was a great day. - Traditional Parent

I thought sending a child to school for the first time would be stressful but from the letters sent home in the summer, I felt very at ease. Starting school should always be this enjoyable! - Traditional Parent
